NEW! Central Region’s Rep

We have a new addition to our team! Many of you have been introduced to Tom Lyon, who has served as a Central Region Rep in Minnesota for the last several years. He has graciously accepted a new appointment as the new Central Region Director.  Tom and Trina have been key instruments in implementing WI+H in their community through The Fruit Church and the Black Commonwealth Labor Alliance (BCLA).  The NBF is excited for Tom to bring his experience, passion and leadership to the role.

Pastor Tom Lyon is the founder and Lead Servant of The Fruit Church Minneapolis. He also serves as the Global Executive Director of The Black Commonwealth Labor Alliance (BCLA),which is the community impact arm of the ministry. The Fruit Church is focused on inspiring people to live on mission with the goal of igniting inner city disciple-making movements in, through, and with community. The BCLA is solely focused on the long-term viability of the Black community in Minneapolis and at-large. Its mission is to create self- sufficient ecosystems of wealth.

Pastor Tom accepted his call to ministry  December 9,2003. He attended and completed Bible School at the First Pentecostal School of Ministry in conjunction with Midwest Theological Institute (Chicago, IL, 2005). He has continued his education at Global University. Pastor Tom also holds a Technical Degree in Applied Science and has historically served in several  leadership roles primarily as a Facilities Operations Director in both Chicago and Minneapolis.

I believe God has his eyes on the pain of many young men and women in urban areas across this region and throughout our nation. I believe He has called us as a whole body (The Assembly of God) to be disciples, to invest, and to raise up leaders who will be willing to serve where others may be afraid or unwilling to go. He has called us to light the dark place!”
