Ethnic Regional Conference ::: NEXT

The first Regional Conferences with the theme NEXT, will be held in 2023. Minneapolis was the site in May 2023. New York will be the second regional conference site on June 12-13. (Additional regional conferences in both Northern California and Southern California are in final planning stages.)  These conferences provide leadership workshops on engaging the next generation of ethnic fellowship leaders, engaging the community and planning for successful succession.   NBF President, Walter Harvey spoke at the Minneapolis opening banquet and also facilitated a panel discussion on succession. NBF Central Region Director, Tom Lyon spoke on engaging the next generation. NBF Secretary, Darrell Geddes led a workshop on how his church in Minneapolis, Christ Church International engaged their community after the murder of George Floyd in 2020. He was joined by Rick Kindschi, Digital Missions Coordinator for the WI+H Movement. He shared how mapping his neighborhood empowered their church members to better engage local residents.
