Juneteenth

June 18-19, the National Black Fellowship is partnering with grassroots disciple-makers in Urban Minneapolis for a 24 hour Vision Trip, which includes several meals, a community listening session and an optional Juneteenth celebration in the park.

For African Americans, Juneteenth celebrates our freedom and marks our tradition of prayer, the reading of the Emancipation Proclamation, and a celebration of our heritage.  Many people think of Juneteenth as a holiday for black people, but I believe that it is a time for the entire Church to unify. It is a coming together around liberation, equality, and human respect. It is an exciting moment to recognize the reality of all humanity made in God’s image.

Looking forward to seeing you in Minneapolis!  Will you join us?
